Shopowner robbed of Rs 70,000
Three unidentified men looted cash and jewellery worth Rs 70,000 from the house of a businessman at Dasna Gate area under Kotwali police station in Ghaziabad on Tuesday afternoon. This was the second incident of looting in the locality during last 24 hours.

Anil Singhal, a businessman, and his brother were at their shop in Ghaziabad city when the robbers struck. His sister-in-law and her three children were there at the time.The miscreants tied up the occupants of the house at gun point and looted the house of Rs 20,000 a VCR and jewellery. Yesterdy, three unidentified men had looted a local businessman Manoj Navani of Rs 50,000 in Turab Nagar around 1 pm but neither was the matter reported to the district police headquarter nor to the press.

Three held
The Sultanpuri police have arrested Sandeep (15), Raj Kumar (17) and Pramod (17) on the charge of murdering class VIII-student Ritesh. His stab-riddled body was recovered from his Sultanpuri school on August 8. He is said to have passed derogatory remarks about Sandeep’s cousin.

Man stabbed
Kewal Kishan (22) of Kartar Nagar has been arrested and charged with stabbing Sanjay (22) with two others in Bhajanpura on Monday night following an altercation over a trivial matter.

Passenger robbed
A train passenger was robbed of Rs 2,000 in the Nizamuddin area on Monday night. He had disembarked at the Nizamuddin station from the Taj Express bound from Dehra Dun at around 10 a.m. He had taken a TSR from the station for Mayur Vihar phase 1. After a short distance, the driver stopped, saying that it had broken down. Subsequently, three youths arrived and snatched his bags and assaulted him. Then they all, including the TSR driver, fled from the spot.

Man killed
A 32-year-old man Ram Udgar was killed when a tempo was rammed into him by Nand Kishore. According to the police, an argument had broken out between him and Kishore. It turned violent and Kishore then threatened to run Udgar and his friend Anjum, who was also present at the time. When Nand Kishore started his tempo and then drove it towards the duo. Anjum got out of the way, but Udgar was hit and died on the spot.

One arrested
The Badarpur police have arrested Dharmender (15) and Amit Kumar (15) on the charge of snatching a gold necklace and chain from Sunita (22) at Badarpur chowk. The jewellery has been recovered from them.

Export house robbed
Four cartons of brass objects were robbed from an export house in the Ambedkar Nagar area at 3 a.m on Monday. The incident occurred Ramnit Exports office on the first floor of a building in Devli Extension. Police say two boys broke into the export house, possibly by climbing up a drain pipe. They threatened the guard with a `katta’ and tied him up. They then opened the door of the house to let in two other youths. While they were loading the cartons of brass objects into a vehicle downstairs, they were challenged by a chwokidar who patrolled the area. They attacked him and escaped.
