CAW arrests 11 persons
The Crime Against Women Cell of the city police has arrested 11 persons, including three women over the past two months, while the Economic Offences Wing has nabbed nine men and two women during the same period. All were accused in different cases, said a police official.

One held for theft
The city police have arrested Kajheri village resident Arun Kumar for allegedly stealing a rickshaw-rehri, along with two gas cylinders from the main road near the village. He was caught red-handed, said police sources.

Car hits scooterist
Sector 40 resident Gian Chand was injured when the scooter he was riding was hit by a car near Attawa village. He has been admitted to the hospital. The car driver left the vehicle on the spot and fled. The police have impounded the car and registerd a case.

Gas cylinder stolen
Sector 45 resident Hoshiar Singh reported that a gas cylinder had been stolen from his residence after the thieves broke open the locks. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
