A resident of Jagadhri district, Ranjit Singh, has been arrested and 70 boxes of whisky have been recovered from his possession. The accused was nabbed when he was driving down in his car near Transport Light Chowk.
Three held for cutting tree
Police have arrested three persons for alleged cutting and theft of a tree from Balmiki Ashram in Dadumajra Colony. Dadumajra Colony resident Harmesh, Ropar residents Muni Ram and Mohan Singh are the three arrested under Section 379 of Indian Penal Code and Tree Plantation Act, 1952.
