
Cricket Australia General Manager Michael Brown is investigating the altercation row involving Andrew Symonds at a Brisbane hotel on Sunday night and will submit a report on the incident to CA chief executive James Sutherland.
Sutherland will make a public statement on the issue after going through the report and speaking to Symonds.
8220;General Manager Cricket Michael Brown has and continues to interview a wide range of those involved in and around the incident, including taking eyewitness account detail, and a report to CA chief executive officer James Sutherland is expected to be finalised either late this evening or early on Wednesday,8221; a Cricket Australia release said.
8220;A final recommendation will be determined after James Sutherland receives the final written report, and he and Andrew Symonds have an opportunity for first-hand discussion, as well as taking feedback from captain Ricky Ponting and coach Tim Nielsen, who had each left Brisbane before the incident,8221; the release added.
The star all-rounder found himself in trouble yet again when a media report said that he allegedly picked up a fight with a member of public at the pub of the hotel on Sunday.
However, Symonds denied that he provoked the altercation and his claim was even supported by the hotel staff.
