
New Delhi, July 19: The six surviving passengers and one of the injured on ground after the Alliance Air Boeing 737 crashed near Patna airport on Monday, today remained in critical condition in various city hospitals though doctors described their status as stable.
Five of the six surviving passengers are in Indraprastha Apollo Hospital while Rohit Ranjan who was admitted to AIIMS on Monday night, was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital so that specialists could attend to his burn injuries.
Poonam Dutta, who was injured on the ground when the aircraft crashed on a residential colony in the vicinity of Patna airport, remains in the intensive care unit ICU of AIIMS and hospital sources described her condition as stable.
Rohit had suffered multiple fractures and was operated upon on Monday night. He has been shifted to Safdarjung Hospital which has a better equipped burns ward.
Rajiv Rana and P M Bopanna were admitted to Apollo hospital on Monday night and remained in serious condition in the neuro ICU, hospital sources said.
8220;Among the two, Rajiv Rana is more serious. He has suffered cervical spine fracture with spinal cord injury quadriplegia, lumber spine fracture and burns,8221; they said. He was operated upon yesterday for cervical spine plating and will need spine fixation in a few days.
