Cops bust school certificate racket

VADODARA, June 23: The police have busted a racket in forged school leaving certificates which was reportedly going on for quite some time in the city by arresting one Kaushal Patel from his Shantiniketan Society residence in Fatehgunj last night.

The raiding police party recovered five blank school leaving certificates of Fatehgunj8217;s Sanskar Vidya Vihar School and the school8217;s rubber stamps.

According to the police, Patel used to forge signatures of school clerk Karsanbhai Patel to prepare 11th standard certificates and sell it to failed students for Rs 3,000 or more.

The police acted on a tip-off that Patel had stashed some forged certificates. Interrogations are on.
