
MUMBAI, SEPT 15: A police officer was today directed by the Sessions court to donate Rs 250 towards the Chief Minister Relief Kargil fund as he failed to produce the station diary before the court during the hearing of a 1994 robbery case.
Additional Sessions Judge D V Marathe also directed Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Bhosale now attached to Pydhonie police station to produce the receipt of the amount paid on the next date of hearing.
Judge Marathe was conducting the trial in a 1994 robbery case lodged at Azad Maidan police station in which API Bhosale is the investigating officer. API Bhosale had failed to produce the diary which contains all the relevant facts of the case before the court.
