CHANDIGARH, Feb 10: Swaran Singh, a Ropar resident, earlier charged with rash and negligent driving endangering human life, was convicted and released on probation for one year after he furnished a probationary bond of Rs 5,000 by Additional District and Sessions Judge G.S. Sandhu.

In an FIR lodged against the alleged accused under Sections 279 and 338 IPC, it was stated that he was driving a tractor trolley near the crossing of Sector 37 and 38 and injured one cyclist Harish Kumar. The boy fell from the cycle and was dragged by the trolley for quite a distance.
