CHANDIGARH, Oct 8: Panoplia 99, technical festival of Panjab Engineering College PEC, opened to an excited crowd of students today at the college premises.

The three-day event today had various inter-college contests. There was paper presentation in electronics and the computer branch, a teaching contest, hardware design contest and informal contests.

The informal events drew the maximum attention. Stalls were put up on the campus for housing various events. Students gave vent to their creative talents by participating in a graffiti contest and wrote some weird graffiti slogans.

The other events included collage-making competition, pictionary and beg-borrow-steal competition. The students also had a party time in the weirdest-phrases contest in which the most illogical phrase was given the prize. In company showcase, various technical companies had put up their information stalls.
