
CHANDIGARH, July 27: A delegation of local Congressmen led by INTUC president Ram Pal Sharma met the Adviser to the UT Administrator and apprised him of the problems faced by UT villagers.
They demanded immediate holding of Gram Panchayat elections, early elections to the Chandigarh State Cooperative Bank and Manimajra Cooperative Society, Sector 26, besides demanding a survey of people living outside the Lal Dora of village Palsora.
They also called for ban on illegal Jhuggis sprouting up in Palsora, Mauli Jagran and Indira Colony.
Among those who were part of the delegation included Gurcharan Das Kala, Chander Mukhi Sharma, Bhupinder Singh and Vikram Sharma.
