Conductor suspended for quot;blastquot;

PUNE, Jan 17: The Pimpri police has sent a team to Aurangabad to investigate into the incident in which two State Transport employees sustained injuries in a blast8217; at the Vallabhnagar ST depot yesterday.

Bus conductor Satyajit alias Vijay Shankar Bhosale, who had found the decorative lamp which when plugged exploded suddenly, has been suspended.

Sources said that a departmental enquiry would follow against him. According to rules, any lost or abandoned property should have been deposited at the ST depot with the concerned authorities. Bhosale who found the decorative lamp gave it to ST electrician Dilip Baburao Tarawade to test it whether it really functioned. When the pin of the lamp was inserted in the power socket the lamp exploded suddenly. Another ST employee Alam Mohammed Mulla, was also injured in the incident.
