After a power packed extravaganza last year, the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development is back with their college fest NEEV8217;08 from November 28 to 30. While their theme this year would be 8211;Duality, the highlight of the event is16 live business games, participation from foreign business schools, corporate playoffs and a campus performance by the rock band Strings.

Advancing drug technology
New Advances In Drug Design, a two-week development programme, is organised at the AISSMS College of Pharmacy. The event was inaugurated recently by vice-chancellor of Pune University, Narendra Jadhav. In his inaugural speech, Jadhav dwelt upon the significance and need for continuous upgradation of faculty to meet the global demands of knowledge intensive market. The president of AISSMS, Shanu Maharaj spoken on the need for academia to focus on quality education and all round development of students to create a task force to meet global competition.

Youth and sports
A 100-member youth delegation led by Madame Wang Hongyan, vice-president of the All China Youth Federation, visited India recently. As part of the programme the Ministry of Youth and Sports, arranged their visit to different campuses of Symbiosis International University in the city. While one of the groups attended the live video conferencing at Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning SCDL, another visited the English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis ELTIS and the third got a chance to see Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial and Museum and the Afro Asian Cultural Museum of Symbiosis.
