MUMBAI: The Company Law Board CLB has asked Allahabad-based Scientific Instrument Company to file its reply to a petition by R P Gupta against the company alleging misappropriation of funds by the company8217;s management.

In its order dated March 3, 1998, the CLB has directed the company to file replies by April 1 and rejoinders by May 5 so that a hearing on the case can begin. A petition by Gupta alleged that Scientific Instrument, a listed company manufacturing microwave components and instruments, has tampered the original and officials documents of company and did not hold any AGM of the shareholders.
