MUMBAI, April 14: Vastly improved five-year-old, Classic Indian PS Deora up completed a praise worthy hat-trick by winning The Red Rufus Trophy, 1400 metres, the main event of the 5th Special Race day held on Wednesday at Mahalakshmi on the all weather track.

Top weighted Satin Lover set a hot pace and retired after the bend from where favorite Girl From Ipanema took charge of the field and shaped to win but from the 200 metres mark Classic Indian joined the issue and fought neck-to-neck till the home post. Finally, after a ding-dong battle finished locked together but the camera favoured the ward of trainer MP Jodha.

Promising young rider SS Bhati and MP Jodha scored a double each.
