Kids’ day out

The `Boston’s Cyberkids Day’ takes place on November 13 and 14 at the Grafikon Arcade. They have lined up various contests for children in the age group of 3 to 14 years like Net-a-Maze, on-line internet games, a computer-based civic message poster making contest. There is also a talent show and fancy dress contest. Other attractions include magic shows, street plays and of course the food stalls. So here is an excellent opportunity for you and your kids to have loads of fun, enjoy and learn.

Kolhapuri masala
It’s sad but true. Lavni, that lar dance form known for its ribald and raunchy dialogue has slowly faded into the oblivion. Here’s some good news. Manas Holiday Resorts at the picturesque Bhugaon Lake has organised a Kolhapuri Food Festival starting November 13. The highlight of this festival is not just the food that has a spread of Kolhapuri delights like tambda rassa, sukka mutton pandhara rassa and more. It is the Lavni dance that will be performed by Marathi actress Madhu Kambikar. She and 25 other artistes will perform non-stop for about two hours. The show will begin at 8.00 p.m. sharp and tickets will be available at the venue itself on November 13. For those in the mood for that earthy, traditional stuff.
