Not only do they take on issues of garbage, traffic lights, encroachments with the authorities, but now have come out with a leaflet for the residents to empower them with knowledge. This leaflet that is available with the committee members, gives all the information relevant to Koregaon Park residents. It has the telephone numbers of the ward office, the corporator, the various departments such as garbage, encroachments, mosquito and so on of the PMC, the mandatory fire, police and even the traffic police department at Circuit House where all confiscated vehicles are kept. So, the next time the bugs bite you or your electric supply is misbehaving, you know who to call and where.

Catch 8217;em going green
If the children of today have to inherit a greener planet what better day than Children8217;s Day, on which to drive home the message? Paradise Country Club has organised a one-day trek on their premises near Kadve village on November 14. The special theme is creating environmental awareness and conserving nature. 8220;The club has organised tree planting, a nature trail where children will be introduced to different types of flowers and plants. Lilting sounds of the flute
Pandit Keshav Ginde, the flute maestro from Pune and innovator of Keshav Venu, performed at Akashwani Sangeet Sammelan All India Radio recently in Jalandar. Accompanied by Mukesh Jadav on the tabla, Ginde8217;s repertoire was well-received. The recorded recital will be aired on National Network on Sunday, November 21 between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Ginde also features in the Limca Book of Awards.
