CID inquiry over Assam paper leak

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi today directed the cid to inquire into the alleged leak of the mathematics paper in Assam8217;s ongoing High School Leaving Certificate examination, while the chairman and the controller of examinations of the Board of Secondary Education of Assam have both resigned.

The leak, which was detected in Barpeta on Friday, caused confusion across Assam yesterday, with the Assam Board of Secondary Examination finally calling off the exam even as students had completed writing it in most districts of the state. The authorities have announced that the new maths exam will be held before March 15.
