Christmas and New Year to be low key this time: Methodist Church

Nearly 5,000 people from the United Worship Service of the Methodist Church congregated at Hill Memorial Church in Fatehgunj to attend the Sunday morning mass. It was declared therein that Christmas and New Year celebrations at 110 Methodist churches across the state will be low key this year in remembrance of those killed in the several terror attacks that hit the country this year.

Emanuel Kant, Superintendent and Methodist lay leader of Vadodara, said: 8220;Bishop E P Samuel and his wife, Monica Samuel, from the Mumbai-based Episcopal were in the city on Sunday to pay homage and conduct a mass on the series of terror attacks that claimed several lives.8221;
