WASHINGTON, January 9: The United States has expressed concern over China’s continued support to Pakistan’s missile programme and said it might disrupt efforts for "rapprochement" between Islamabad and New Delhi.
"We hope that the Chinese will recognise that assisting such activities as Pakistan’s missile programmes could lead to instability in the region." "It could have a disruptive effect on the efforts of India and Pakistan to work out a rapprochement after 50 years of Independence," US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Non-Proliferation Robert J Einhorn said.
