Jind meeting to be held again
Amidst chaos and procedural wranglings, the crucial meeting of the SGPC executive called by its president G. S. Tohra in Jind today, was adjourned. It will now be held at the same venue at 2.00 p.m. tomorrow. The supporters of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal were present in large numbers. All 15 members of the executive were present.

28 killed in fire
At least 28 people were killed and almost a hundred injured in a devastating fire that engulfed the jhuggi cluster on the Yamuna Pushta in New Delhi around 4.15 pm this afternoon. Unofficial figures put the death toll at 40.
