MUMBAI, JAN 22: The Champs Foundation will conduct a double wicket tourney tomorrow at Brabourne Stadium at 10.30 a.m. The North Stand of stadium will be kept open for public free of cost.

Wilson Jones, India8217;s first world champion in billiards today picked out the draw for the pairings of the double wicket fund-raising tournament.

This double wicket tournament is an fund raising event by the Champs organisation which has been formed recently to help needy sportsmen who have fallen on bad days. One former cricketer has been paired with a person form the business and corporate world for this tournament.

Sunil Gavaskar, one of the trustees of the organisation said that this will be a two over contest and if a cricketer gets out then six runs will be deducted from the total while if a person from the corporate world gets out only four runs will be deducted from the team score.

Gavaskar said that it was difficult to make an estimate about the funds received because they were still pouring in.

Gavaskarinformed the press that Ramanath Parkar is definitely on the top. 8220;We would be going through the Mumbai Cricket Association in extending our help to him,8221; he added.
