PUNE, July 13: A Canadian woman studying in Mumbai, who had been arrested on charges of duping the overseas branch of the Bank of India to the tune of Rs 12.87 lakh by using forged demand drafts, was yesterday remanded to a day-long police custody. Ana along with an accomplice had purchased ornaments at four jewelry shops located on Laxmi Road. The duo had allegedly forged signatures of officials from the Singapore branch of the bank on the demand drafts.
