The Union Budget may just given the beleaguered UPA government a day8217;s respite from the Quattrocchi heat. Though upbeat after defeating the Congress in Punjab and Uttarakhand, the Opposition BJP today decided to allow the government to unveil the General Budget on Wednesday and resume their slogan-shouting a day later.

If Leader of Opposition L.K. Advani gave a tacit assurance to the government that they would like to sit and listen to Chidambaram8217;s Budget tomorrow, BJP deputy leader in the House V.K. Malhotra was a little more forthcoming: 8220;There is no Zero-Hour on the Budget day so where is the scope to disrupt the House. We will be resume day after tomorrow.8221; Disrupting the budget, sources said, 8220;is no option. No one in the NDA is willing to allow political issues to overshadow the presentation of Budget which effects all8221;. In fact, whether the BJP would continue to disrupt Parliament will be decided after the meeting tomorrow.
