
The BSNL cell-phone subscribers faced tough time throughout the day due to very poor connectivity. The subscribers could not contact each other within the city as well as outside the city and the state. Hemchand Gupta, spokesperson for the subscribers, said, 8220;I kept dialling my daughter at Khanna since morning but could not do so. In the afternoon, I got to know that due to some server problem of BSNL, there is no connectivity.8221;
The subscribers remained confused throughout the day as none could tell them the reason behind this poor service. A group of subscribers said, 8220;None of the officers is responding to our queries at BSNL customers8217; care centre. We do not know what happened to the services.8221;
It was in the late evening that some subscribers started receiving calls.
Official sources of BSNL said, 8220;Due to cable-cutting near Delhi, this problem is persisting in the North India. This is not a local problem.8221; S.K. Aggarwal, general manager, Ludhiana telecom, could not be contacted to know as to how long it would take to rectify the technical fault.
