After Birdy8217;s from Mumbai nestled in the posh localities of Greater Kailash and Mukherjee Nagar, another bakery has strutted north. Brownie Cottage, which boasts seven outlets in Mumbai, has now set up a tony kiosk at Select Citywalk Mall, Saket. Located in the food court on the second level, it can turn every sinful chocolate fantasy into reality.

The outlet stacks 20 varieties of fusion brownies priced between Rs 45 and Rs 85 a piece. Popular chocolates like Ferrero Rocher, Twix and Lindt have been skilfully turned into delicious muddy blocks. A block of Ferrero brownie, for instance, will offer a dense chocolate square with a crusty top while the centre is buttoned with a half moon of the chocolate. A Lindt 70, meanwhile, will fetch a brownie studded with a chocolate square. If these options look hedonistic, sink your teeth into classic brownies, the ultimate gooey brownies for Rs 35 and Rs 45 a piece, or the ubiquitous walnut and choco-chip brownies. The staff, sporting cowboy hats, also serve a mean brownie shake Rs 65.

If you aren8217;t in a mood to indulge in a block, go for brownie toffees in colourful wrappers. You can choose from a choco-chip toffee Rs 12, walnut toffee Rs 12 and guliyan toffee Rs 18. The outlet also takes orders for mud cakes Rs 500 to Rs 1,350 per kilo. However, be warned. Place you orders in advance and don8217;t stroll in too late. The stall cannot refurbish its empty trays as the kitchen is based out of Mumbai and batches of brownies are flown in every afternoon.
