Boycott lashes out

LONDON, Aug 16: Former England Test hero Geoff Boycott believes it is time for Michael Atherton to step aside or be removed as England captain. He also had harsh words for coach David Lloyd and Chairman of selectors David Graveney.

8220;Michael has had 44 Test matches as skipper and we are not a good side,8221; said Boycott on BBC TV. 8220;It8217;s not all Michael8217;s fault, but he8217;s a losing General and they used to sack losing Generals in the war,8221; he added.

But Boycott also blamed Lloyd and Graveney for England8217;s Ashes defeat. 8220;If we were a company we would be asking: 8220;Who8217;s the Chairman? Who8217;s the boss?8221;, he said. 8220;What is happening with the captain, the coach, the chairman of selectors? Are they doing a good job to get the best out of the best players?
