AFTER the white sari in Mangal Pandey-The Rising, Amisha Patel’s look in her next film is an eye-opener. In the much-delayed (yawn) Mere Jeevan Saathi, Patel opts for an image makeover with a thigh show and a smackeroo with Akshay Kumar. Director Suneel Darshan gives her full marks on her new look. ‘‘Amisha is playing a very interesting young girl whose look changes as her role matures.’’ Considering that the film’s publicity is centred around Karisma Kapoor—this is her first definitive negative role and the film, possibly her swansong—Patel has timed the switch well.
