Boost security: Modi

Gujarat CM Narendra Modi called on Home Minister Shivraj Patil today and urged him to strengthen the intelligence network. He even suggested the setting up of a national intelligence cadre on the lines of the IAS and the IPS.

Modi8217;s concern probably stems from the recent killing of four LeT militants, who were allegedly planning to kill him. The CM, however, refused to comment on the incident and the report filed by his state police to the Home Ministry.
