MUMBAI, January 31: The Anti-corruption branch of the Central Bureau of Investigation CBI , Mumbai recently arrested an officer of the Bank Of India for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000. P A Khadilkar, assistant general manager and in-charge of the premises department of the bank was caught red-handed at Samrat Hotel, near Churchgate railway station while accepting the bribe from a contractor for the bank.

The police raided the officer8217;s residence also. After a thorough search they recovered incriminating documents. Among the numerous assets found in his house were fixed deposit receipts worth Rs 50 lakh, sources said.Khadilkar was produced before the special CBI court on Friday and has been remanded to custody till February 3.
