MUMBAI, May 24: A body with multiple stab wounds and severed penis was recovered this evening at Charkop. The victim has been identified as Yashudas Ratan Kanka, a resident of Saibaba Nagar, Charkop. His body was found near Babrekar Nagar, not far from where he lived.While police reports mentioned serious injuries on the neck, ears and private parts, senior officials were not willing to say whether it was a case of `Bobbitising'. The Malvani police said Kanka was rushed to the Bhagwati Hospital at Borivli, but was declared dead before admission. Police sources disclosed that they were checking Kanka's antecedents to confirm whether he visited bars or was acquainted with waitresses who often serve as prostitutes, indicating that they suspect a woman's hand behind the grisly crime. Kanka's friends were also being questioned, when reports last came in. In another case, the Aarey police is looking for a 27-year-old man who is allegedly involved in the kidnapping for a 15-year-old girl from her Goregaonresidence.In a complainant lodged by the girl's father, Raoshandas Hukamchand Jain (40), he has said his daughter Hemlata told him she was going to the toilet around 7.30 pm on Saturday. However, when she did not return for more than an hour his family started looking for her and later approached the police.Jain, a businessman and a resident of Rafiqtaliwala Compound, Room no 1, unit 29, has named one Mohammad Hanif Ansari, 27, as a suspect. Ansari is absconding. A dragnet has been spread to nab the accused and a police party is being despatched to Ansari's native place to track him down.
