BJP gets 145;specialist146; leaders from states to cut language barrier

Speak to each and every voter in his own tongue is the BJP mantra to reach out to the mixed population of the Capital. Through the next fortnight, BJP leaders and workers from different parts of the country 8211; be it South India or Haryana 8211; would be camping in Delhi as the party mounts an aggressive campaign.

8220;Each constituency has a different population. Our aim is to reach out to the people in their own language,8221; said Delhi BJP spokesperson, Mewa Ram Arya.

The teams would be meeting regional associations and holding rallies in areas according to the population. The team of workers from South India is headed by George Kurien who is a member of national executive committee of the BJP and the head of the Kerala BJP. Kurien will bring with him workers and leaders from all four southern states. Kurien8217;s team will be meeting residents in Mayur Vihar, R K Puram, Karol Bagh and other pockets which have a dense population of South Indians.

From Bihar, Ranvir Nandan, the state secretary of the Bihar BJP would be coming with his own entourage. Delhi has a population of 40-50,000 Poorvanchalis. From Uttranchal, around six ministers are going to camp in Delhi for the next fortnight till the run up to the elections. These people would be targeting trans-Yamuna constituencies including Kasturba Nagar and Laxmi Nagar. From Meerut, a team of nearly 40 workers are specially coming for the 16 constituencies of trans-Yamuna area.

From Haryana, Om Prakash Dhaukat and former minister in Chautala government Sita Ram Singhala would also be touring the rural belt adjoining Haryana. For Badarpur and other constituencies in Southeast Delhi, BJP has got former MLA Yashpal Singh Gurjjar.

For the five constituencies in the New Delhi parliamentary constituencies, Greater Kailash, Jungpura, New Delhi, Kasturba Nagar and Rajender Nagar, the BJP is getting an entourage from Himachal Pradesh headed by former MP Suresh Bhardwaj.

8220;We wanted not only senior leaders to go campaigning, but also workers to reach out to the people of each constituency for better results. These people are going to stay here, tour the constituency and even camp at polling booths,8221; Arya added.
