
IVP hikes dividend
MUMBAI: The directors IVP Ltd have hiked the dividend to 20 per cent for the year ended March 1998 from 16 per cent paid last year. IVP achieved sales of Rs 292 crore compared to Rs 289 crore last year. The company has earned a gross profit of Rs 13.81 crore Rs 13.08 crore. After depreciation of Rs 1.06 crore Rs 0.97 crore and taxation of Rs 4.40 crore Rs 5.40 crore, the net profit amounted to Rs 8.35 crore against Rs 6.71 crore last year.
Unichem Lab
MUMBAI: Unichem Laboratories has announced 50 per cent dividend for the year 1997-98. The income from sales and operations amounted to Rs 158.87 crore as against Rs 145.45 crore. After providing for depreciation and taxation, the net profit amounted to Rs 401 lakh as against Rs 348 lakh in the previous year. The company is now planning to modernise the manufacturing facilities at its formulation plant in Ghaziabad during the current financial year.
Linc Pen
MUMBAI: Calcutta-based Linc Pen amp; Plastics hasrecommended a dividend of 10 per cent for the year ended March 1998. While the total income has gone up from Rs 11.63 crore to Rs 16.69 crore, the gross profit has amounted to Rs 1.99 crore from Rs 1.37 crore. After making provisions, the net profit has gone up to Rs 1.44 crore from Rs 1.07 crore previously. It has now launched Uniball signo8217; range of pens. These pens are manufactured in technical collaboration with Mitsubishi Pencil of Japan.
Lenbrook-Knoll
MUMBAI: Knoll Pharmaceuticals Ltd has entered into an arrangement with Lenbrook Pharmaceuticals Ltd, its wholly-owned subsidiary, for promotion of its products in the therapeutic areas of neuropsychiatry , nutrition and cough and cold. Besides strengthening Knoll8217;s franchise in these therapeutic areas, Lenbrook would provide services to the medical fraternity such as continuing medical education.
