
Credit policy on Oct 29
MUMBAI: Bimal Jalan, governor, Reserve Bank of India will hold a meeting with the chief executives of major scheduled commercial banks to announce the mid-term review of monetary and credit policy for the year 1999-2000 on October 29, 1999. The meeting will be held at 1130 hrs in the RBI, according to an RBI release here today. The policy assumes significance as it will be the first credit policy of the new government which will taking over reins at the Centre.

MUMBAI: ERP vendor SAP India previewed mySAP.com, an open e-business solution to enable companies to participate in the internet economy on Tuesday. The solution is the newest initiative from SAP in the rollout of its internet business strategy. quot;The solution will empower enterprises to harness the business opportunities offered by the internet and successfully conduct e-business in a global internet economy,quot; Martin Breuer, senior vice-president of SAP South Asia Pacific said. The package has industry specific applications, Internet applications and services, portals and extensible markup language XML technologies.
