Bindra sets world record

CHANDSIGARH, JAN 21: Ace Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra of Chandigarh brought glory and raised the the Indian Tricolour today by shooting an expectionally high score of 598 out of 600 marks and a thumping final of 104.2 making a total of 702.2 in the Luxemburg Open National Championship in Luxemburg on Saturday. Giving a consistent display, 18-year-old Olympian Bindra set a new world record and bagged the gold. The previous world record was standing in the name of Harji Bekoff of Russia with a score of 701.7.

Abhinav is currently participating in the Open European Rifle Shooting Circuit.
