
PUNE, AUG 17: Founder director of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing C-DAC, Vijay Bhatkar on Monday termed anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare8217;s fight against corruption as a crusade for creating a value-based leadership8217;.
Bhatkar was speaking at Alandi here after inaugurating the second batch of students at the Know-It centre run by the C-DAC. Hazare who is on an indefinite fast at Alandi, attended the function as a special guest.
Providing value-based leadership is the main aim of education, Bhatkar noted, adding that people like Hazare were fighting for a leadership based on honesty and morality. Hazare believed that science and spirituality should come together to create an honest and progressive society.
A project is underway to create an illustrated CD-ROM of Dnayashwari, he said with more than five chapters being completed. A multimedia mandir on the banks of the river Indrayani is on the anvil with a giant screen where a common man can seek information on a number of topics.
