Bharat Earth Movers Ltd BEML today reported a 129.54 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 55.78 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005, as compared to Rs 24.30 crore for the same quarter in last fiscal. Total income has increased 72.77 per cent to Rs. 563.64 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005, from Rs. 326.23 crore in the year-ago period. The board of directors has approved payment of interim dividend of 30 per cent on the paid up share capital of the company.
Yes Bank net up at Rs 14.5 cr
MUMBAI: Private sector Yes Bank reported a net profit of Rs 14.5 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005 as compared to a loss of Rs 32 lakh in the same quarter last fiscal. The total income of the bank grew by over five-fold to Rs. 81.74 crore in the September-December period of 2005-06 as against Rs. 15.24 crore in the corresponding period in 2004-05. Thebank8217;s total business grew by over four-fold to Rs 3,689 crore till December 2005 from Rs 865 crore in the year ago period.
TV 18 net up 47
MUMBAI: TV 18 Network today posted 47 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 12 crore for the quarter ended December 2005. Revenues grew 55 per cent at Rs 38.11 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2005. The operating profit for the quarter increased 54 percent year on year at Rs 20.83 crore.
