GUDIYATTAM, April 14: Members of the Vellore district Beedi, Cheroot and Tobacco Workers Association, affiliated toe the AITUC, staged demonstrations in front of the Deputy Labour Commissioner here demanding implementiong of the 9-point demands of the Pulithalai beedi ring women workers. Some of their demands included allowance in accordance to price rise and salary on weekly off.
