FARIDABAD, March 12: Two depleted teams 8212; Haryana and Madhya Pradesh 8212; will fight it out to gain maximum points from their last Group C Super League match starting at the Nahar Singh Stadium here tomorrow, in an effort to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Haryana, who have 16 points from three matches in the five-team group, will miss the services of its originally-appointed skipper Ajay Jadeja, who hasn8217;t resumed playing since undergoing a knee operation in the United States last month. Also missing from the match will be two other senior members, Rajesh Puri and left-handed Nitin Goel, both sidelined owing to back trouble.

Madhya Pradesh, who have 13 points from three games, will also be without one of their main bowlers, off-spinner Rajesh Chauhan, who is in the Indian squad for the second Test. Left-hand batsman and vice-captain Amay Khurasia is in the India A8217; team to take on the Australians in a three-day game starting at Jamshedpur tomorrow. Batsman Syed Abbas Ali is presently in Pakistan asmember of the India A8217; team.

Both Vijay Yadav and Chandrakant Pandit exuded confidence of playing positive cricket to gain maximum points from their last encounter. Another contender for the top two spots in the group to make it to the quarter-finals, Hyderabad, have collected 16 points from three games, the same as Haryana.
