When she is not acting, the lady is adding up figures and tallying balance sheets. But her real love is acting. If there is the one thing she cannot do without, it’s the stage or the camera as the case may be. But since the opportunity struck just once when she did an episode for Kashmakash on DD II last year, this near manic love for acting finds expression elsewhere.

Says she, “Pune does not provide one the opportunities like Mumbai does. So, every week, when I have an off on Thursday, I visit my friend’s house where we both take turns rehearsing roles. She asks me to enact a character from films or TV or just an emotion maybe anger, love, depression and so on.

I do that and then she enacts what I ask her to. It’s great fun really. To be able to live another person’s life can be very exciting even if it is momentary.” Her other passions are sandesh _that not so sweet and yet delectable Bengali dish. ` `I just must have sandesh every now and then. When the urge hits me I go to Karachi Sweet Mart and eat to my heart’s content.”Crisp white saris also top the list of her passions. “I don’t wear them so often but even the sight of a white starched cotton sari is so refreshing. I simply love it.”
