Bardhan: Govt shouldn146;t be sacrificed for n-deal

Asking the UPA to focus on fighting inflation instead of the Indo-US nuclear deal, the CPI on Sunday said the Central Government should not be sacrificed in the name of such an agreement as nobody wanted early polls.

8220;The priority at this moment is to fight the rising inflation and not the nuclear deal,8221; CPI general secretary A B Bardhan told reporters on the sidelines of a convention here against POSCO8217;s proposed steel project in Orissa. He said nobody favoured early elections except the 8220;divisive forces8221;.
