
BANGALORE, JULY 21: Bangalore will again host the cream of the world’s young snooker talent when the 12th World Under-21 snooker championship is held here from Aug 12 to 26. Fifty-nine players from 23 countries will vie for top honours of a tournament, which is a stepping stone for potential professional stars. Addressing a press conference on Thursday, S Balasubramaniam, the president of Karnataka State Billiards Association, the hosts of the event said that India as hosts have been allowed eight entries. “The top eight of the Junior Nationals which were held in Bangalore in February will represent the country,” he said.
