PUNE, Aug 12: Anchored by an all-round performance from Pravin Bandkar, United Sports CC defeated Deodhar XI by an innings and seven runs in the MCA under-19 invitation cricket league here today.

Bandkar first helped reduce the second innings of Deodhar XI to 66 all out, with brilliant bowling figures of three wickets for the cost of just six runs, and then stroked up a half century to propel United Sports CC to a comfortable win.

Bandkar was ably aided by bowler Abid Maskati who returned figures of five for eighteen.

Vilas CC: 1st innings: 65 all out; 2nd: 91 all out (Narendra Jadhav 5/44) lost to Club of Maharashtra: 1st: 87 for nine declared; 2nd: 73 for one (Aditya Dhavale 38 n.o., M Dare 18 n.o.).
Deodhar XI: 1st: 115 all out; 2nd: 66 all out (Mandar Kulkarni 24, Abid Maskati 5/18, Pravin Bandkar 3/6) lost to United Sports CC: 188 all out (Bandkar 56, Chetan Suryavanshi 27).
Stars CC: 1st: 68 all out; 2nd: 90 all out (Aniket Kelkar 23, Vikas Chavan 23, Kiran Adhav 3/19, Ketan Tamhankar 2/18) lost to Deccan Gymkhana: 186 for seven (Kapil Laghate 54, Agrani Bhosale 27, Hrishikesh Shinde 2/14, Abhijit Khilare 3/4).
Sportsmen CC: 1st: 73 all out; 2nd: 107 all out (Amjad Sayyad 37, Sandeep Bhujbal 3/20, Manmol Sidhaye 2/17).
