
In a match where they frittered away several easy chances, Mohun Bagan were held 1-1 by Air India at the Salt Lake Stadium.
Air India took the lead at the very end of the first half, as Napoleon Singh8217;s free-kick from just outside the box pierced through the wall before Soccor Velho flicked it into the net.
But a combined effort from Bagan8217;s PC Lalawmpuia and substitute Branco Vincent Cardozo got the hosts the equaliser in the 70th minute. Lalawmpuia set it up for a surging Branco with a measured cross from the left.
Air India had a great chance to take the lead in the 84th minute through Emmanuel Ovieghara, but his header was deflected by Bagan 8216;keeper Shilton Paul.
The Mumbai club finished their Kolkata sojourn without a win.
