NEW DELHI, April 17: Mumbai-based senior clerk with the Railways Anuja Tere not only defended her title in the 10m Air Rifle event of the 41st National Shooting Championship, but also shot down two records at the Dr Karni Singh Range here today.

Jaspal Rana, continuing his good form in the championship, accounted for another individual gold in 10m Air Pistol in the Open category, scoring 679.7. But team-mate Samresh Jung had to claw his way back up before clinging on to the slender lead he established over the other Delhi shooter, Vivek Singh, to claim the silver at 673.7. Vivek Singh had to be contend with the bronze at 672.9.

In the morning, Jaspal also won the 25m Standard Pistol gold, logging 573. Ashok Pandit of Maharashtra got the silver 566 and Naresh Kumar of the BSF 563 won the bronze.
