
PATNA, JAN 29: The Bihar Minister of State for Building Construction, Basant Singh, today resigned from the Rabri Devi Ministry after he was denied a RJD ticket.
Singh told a press conference that he had also resigned from the primary membership of the party as it did not field him from Dumraon Assembly constituency in Buxar. He said he would contest from the constituency as an independent candidate.
With this, a total four ministers have resigned from the Bihar Cabinet after being denied RJD tickets. The other three are: K B Prasad, Higher Education Minister, Ram Naresh Prasad, Minister for Registration and Ram Avadesh Singh, Minister of State for Labour.
