Speaking to The Indian Express, APCC president K Keshava Rao said, 8220;I have issued them show-cause notices, and till they answer, they are under suspension.8221; Rao said that after losing in these constituencies, the Congress conducted an inquiry into the reasons for the losses. 8220;We found that these MLAs were openly working against candidates supported by the party.8221;

He said the Congress had a majority of supporters in all these constituencies. 8220;There are only about a thousand voters in each seat, and we had over 700 supporters, meaning we should have won with an overwhelming majority.8221; The Congress won 16 seats under the local body quota.
