AMC assigns octroi contract

AHMEDNAGAR, March 16: The Ahmednagar Municipal Council on Monday decided to assign Beleshwar Trading Company from the city for octroi collection. The company had presented a tender worth Rs 16.16 crore.

The meeting hardly took 15 minutes to decide the octroi collection by contractor issue. Four tenders were presented to the municipal council. The Company was asked to complete the necessary formalities within four days and it was needed to deposit Rs 2.58 crore as security deposit, chief officer Ramesh Mavasi informed the meeting.
