Amar takes up spectrum issue with PM

SP general secretary Amar Singh met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and alleged that mobile companies were using more than the share of spectrum allocated to them leading to a scam worth Rs 18,000 crore.

Singh8217;s allegation comes in the backdrop of the ongoing dispute among mobile companies over spectrum allocation.

8220;A scam of over Rs 18,000 crore is going on as national and multinational companies are violating norms by using more than the share of spectrum allocated to them by TRAI,8221; Singh told reporters after his meeting with the Prime Minister. He even took the names of companies like Airtel, Vodafone and Idea.
