NEW DELHI, MAY 31: Crifit Academy won the first all-India Alpine under-14 cricket tournament beating Lal Bahadur Shastri Coaching Centre by six wickets in a low-scoring final match at the Yamuna Sports complex here today.

Crifit Academy won the toss and inserted LB Shastri. But the latter8217;s batting was so pathetic that they scored just 96 in 29.2 overs. Mahinder Singh made 25. Rahul Gahlot claimed 3 for 7 while Rakshit Pant 2 for 20.

In reply, Crifit Academy easily achieved the target, reaching 98 for the loss of four wickets in 22.1 overs. Siddarth Ralhan 22 and Kapil 28 were the main scorers. Abhishek Rohlla was the most successful bowler for LB Shastri, who captured three wickets for 23 runs.

Deepak Soni best all-rounder, LB Shastri; Gaurav Sharma best batsman, Madras Coaching Centre; Rahul Gahlot best bowler, Crifit and Gourav Chabra man of the series, LB Shastri were also awarded for their performance during the tournament.
