PUNE, Feb 10: The City Improvements Committee today deferred Municipal Commissioner Rajiv Agarwal's fresh proposal on flyovers by two weeks since many committee members were not present at the meeting today.Sources said Mohan Kamble, presiding over the meeting, postponed the issue saying that a decision could be taken only when majority of the members were present. In the proposal, Agarwal has recommended the exclusion of a suggestion in the earlier resolution that toll should not be collected from vehicles registered in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad Regional Transport Office (RTO). The Maharashtra State Road Development Corp]oration (MSRDC) was not ready to execute the project if it was not allowed to recover the toll, the proposal said. The proposal is expected to be approved by the general body this month since the BJP, Shiv Sena and Pune Vikas Aghadi have agreed to accept it.
